Exxaro Resources Limited
Exxaro Resources Limited, established in 2000 and headquartered in Centurion, South Africa, is a diversified entity operating across several key sectors: coal mining, iron ore investments, pigment production, and renewable energy ventures. The company maintains a global presence, with a geographical footprint extending across South Africa, Europe, Australia, and Asia. Its coal mining operations, predominantly located in South Africa's Waterberg and Mpumalanga areas, yield thermal, metallurgical, and semi-soft coking coal. Additionally, Exxaro supplies iron ore and manufactures gas-atomised ferrosilicon, a product essential for separation plant applications. The company also manages two operational wind farms as part of its commitment to renewable energy. Originally incorporated as Kumba Resources Limited, the entity rebranded to Exxaro Resources Limited in November 2006.

EXXAF Earnings Call
Q2 2026
0:00 / 0:00
Earnings Call Sentiment|Positive
The call conveyed a resilient operational performance: strong safety outcomes, clear production increases across coal, renewables and manganese, improved logistics (notably Grootegeluk-to-Richards Bay rail), successful commissioning of the Lephalale Solar Plant, a maintained dividend and a strong liquidity position. However, macro and non-operational factors—primarily a stronger rand, inflationary pressures (notably diesel and logistics), lower equity-accounted contributions (SIOC and Black Mountain) and acquisition-related one-offs—meaningfully reduced headline earnings and limited EBITDA expansion. Management reiterated guidance and emphasized balance-sheet strength and disciplined capital allocation, suggesting the business fundamentals are healthy while near-term earnings remain exposed to external volatility.View all EXXAF earnings summariesTechnical Analysis
