Alphabet’s (GOOG) YouTube is close to an agreement to acquire the rights to the National Football League’s Sunday Ticket subscription service, the New York Times’ Ken Belson and Benjamin Mullin report, citing three people with knowledge of the talks. YouTube has discussed paying roughly $2.5B a year to the NFL for the games, about $1B more than DirecTV (T), which had the rights for years, the authors note. Reference Link
