Walgreens (WBA) has agreed to an $83M settlement with the state of West Virginia for its role in perpetuating the opioid crisis, the Associated Press’ Leah Willingham reports, citing Attorney General Patrick Morrisey. The state, which had the most per capita overdose deaths, has one outstanding opioid case with Kroger (KR) in June and has brought in over $950M from opioid litigation. Reference Link
