United Airlines (UAL) is close to a deal to order dozens of Boeing (BA) 787 Dreamliners and an agreement could be completed as soon as this month, Andrew Tangel and Benjamin Katz of Wall Street Journal report, citing people familiar with the matter. The deal, if reached, would be worth billions of dollars in revenue and mark a victory for Boeing over rival Airbus (EADSY), which had competed for the deal with United, sources told the Journal. United has communicated privately that it is preparing to order some 100 airplanes to replace its aging wide-body jets, people familiar with the matter said. Reference Link
