In a livestream on YouTube, United Auto Workers president Shawn Fain said that workers striking at Ford’s (F) Kentucky Truck Plant sent a “clear message” to the big three automakers, namely, “Don’t you dare sleepwalk us or lowball us.” Fain said the union is still “bargaining hard” with General Motors (GM) and Stellantis (STLA), adding that UAW members are “right to be angry” as corporate profits have “soared.” The UAW president also said that “a lot more strikes” could be “on the horizon” if the big three fail to meet demands.
