In an interview, CEO Bob Jordan said Southwest Airlines has hired Oliver Wyman, an outside consulting firm, and is working to strengthen its crew scheduling system following the cancellations during the holidays, Alison Sider of The Wall Street Journal reports. Southwest canceled over 16,700 flights between December 21 and December 31 after struggling to recover from a winter storm. Southwest has engaged Oliver Wyman to determine what went wrong and whether it needs to reset priorities, Jordan said, according to the Journal. Reference Link
