FlightAware is showing that around 460 flights were shown as delayed and 61 canceled within, into or out of the U.S. on Thursday morning following the FAA outage of the Notam system on Wednesday, The WAll Street Journal reports. The White House has ordered the FAA to investigate the incident and the Senate’s transportation committee also plans to examine the factors behind the system outage, the report notes. Publicly traded companies in the space include Alaska Air (ALK), American Airlines (AAL), Delta Air Lines (DAL), JetBlue (JBLU), Southwest (LUV), Spirit Airlines (SAVE) and United Airlines (UAL).
