FAA meltdown related to corrupted computer file, Bloomberg says

The FAA’s system-wide meltdown appears to have resulted from a corrupted digital computer file, Bloomberg’s Alan Levin reports, citing people familiar with the matter. The glitch that affected the Notice to Air Missions also led to a failure in a related backup system, the author notes. Publicly traded companies in the space include Alaska Air (ALK), American Airlines (AAL), Delta Air Lines (DAL), JetBlue (JBLU), Southwest (LUV), Spirit Airlines (SAVE) and United Airlines (UAL).
