U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders and U.S. Representative Greg Casar have voiced support for YouTube Music (GOOGL) staff who are currently on strike, the Austin Chronicle’s Lina Fisher reports. The lawmakers sent a letter to Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai, as well as YouTube CEO Neal Mohan and Cognizant (CTSH) CEO Ravi Kumar saying that they support the striking workers, as Alphabet’s profits enables the company " to not only treat your workers fairly, but also recognize the invaluable contributions YouTube Music workers bring to your company and our community," the author says.
