Netflix (NFLX) has acquired the exclusive rights to “WWE Raw” as well as other programming from World Wrestling Entertainment, part of TKO Group Holdings (TKO), the two companies confirmed this morning, without disclosing the terms. Raw will air on Netflix in the U.S., Canada, Latin America and other international markets beginning in January 2025, after the expiration of the WWE’s domestic deal with Comcast (CMCSA). In the streaming service’s first big move into live events, it has agreed to pay $5B over the course of the 10-year deal, people familiar with the terms told Bloomberg’s Lucas Shaw. That represents a more than 30% increase on the current payments for Raw, but Netflix’s package includes other rights, the sources added.
