Mizuho analyst Dan Dolev raised the firm’s price target on Affirm to $20 from $17 and keeps a Buy rating on the shares. The analyst says Google Trends search data for Affirm’s Debit+ is “promising.” The uptick in Debit+ searches is reminiscent of the “buzz” that engulfed Square’s Cash Card in its early days, the analyst tells investors in a research note. If Debit+ follows the Cash Card trajectory, it may boost Affirm’s medium-term volume from mid-20s to mid-30s annually, says the firm.
