Q3 2026 Earnings Call Summary
The call was strongly optimistic, supported by record quarterly earnings, a 76% increase in MSTR, a 43% increase in Bitcoin, approximately $74 billion of treasury assets, continued Bitcoin accumulation, improved liquidity and credit coverage, and substantial digital credit and tokenization ambitions. The main negative points were the 3.7% year-to-date decline in Bitcoin per share, the prior STRC price dislocation, continued weakness and limited trading in several preferred instruments, the CFO transition, and unresolved U.S. tokenization standards and access. Highlights significantly outweighed lowlights.
Management said it aims to double Bitcoin per share over the course of the next seven years, believes MSTR has the potential to similarly outperform Bitcoin during the next year to two years, and expects “a couple year bull run.” Strategy said it could raise $10 billion, $20 billion, $30 billion through perpetual preferreds, and could create $10 billion, $20 billion, $30 billion of digital credit with its existing capital structure; when raising $1 billion or $2 billion a month on Stretch, it will likely put some into the U.S. dollar reserve and use the remainder to buy Bitcoin. The company expects digital credit to grow from $8.5 billion to tens of billions, if not hundreds of billions over time, believes Stretch volatility could fall below 10%, potentially approaching and below 5%, and said it is not going to increase the Stretch dividend, which remains right around 12%. Strategy said it expects the tokenized market to grow very fast, Nasdaq to move to seven-day trading towards the end of this year, STRC to return to par within four months if it falls below par and out of its trading range, and a set of tokenization standards, a framework and a structure to evolve over the next 12 months.
- Record Bitcoin Fair Value Gain and EarningsStrategy recorded a record approximately $21 billion fair value gain on its Bitcoin holdings in Q3. The company reported record operating income of $20.9 billion, net income of $19.1 billion, and diluted earnings per share of $44.75, described as the highest operating and net income for any quarter in company history.
- Largest Institutional Bitcoin HolderStrategy held 848,517 Bitcoin at quarter-end, representing approximately 4% of all Bitcoin that will ever exist. The company said it remains the largest institutional holder of Bitcoin globally, with holdings exceeding those of IBIT, the largest nation states, other ETFs, and major DeFi institutions.
- Continued Bitcoin AccumulationStrategy added a net 1,666 Bitcoin during Q3 and has increased its holdings from approximately 38,000 Bitcoin in Q3 2020 to 848,517 Bitcoin. Phong Le said the company added 176,000 Bitcoin since the beginning of the year, while the company described its Q3 as the 25th consecutive quarter of adding Bitcoin to its balance sheet.
- Treasury Assets Reached Approximately $74 BillionTreasury assets grew from approximately $54 billion at the end of Q1 to approximately $74 billion as of October 23, consisting of $68.9 billion of Bitcoin and $5.1 billion of USD assets. Total equity increased $23.2 billion, or 51%, during the quarter to $68.5 billion.
- Low Net Leverage and Reserve CoverageStrategy reported NAV of 1.15x, amplification of 1.28x, and net leverage of approximately 2.4%. The company said its USD assets provide 3.4 years of interest and dividend coverage at current payment obligations, while combined Bitcoin and dollar reserves represent 49 years of interest and dividend coverage.
- Convertible Debt and Asset CoverageStrategy had approximately $6.7 billion of convertible debt outstanding against approximately $69 billion of Bitcoin and $5.1 billion of USD assets, representing a BTC Rating of 42x. Four of six converts were trading above par, and management said the staggered put maturity schedule provided ample levers to manage obligations.
- Common Equity Outperformed Bitcoin in Q3Management said MSTR increased 76% during Q3 while Bitcoin increased 43%. It also cited the 2023-2024 period, when Bitcoin returned 454% and MSTR returned 1,897%, or 3.6 times Bitcoin's return.

- STRC Liquidity and YieldAs of October 2026, Stretch had a 12.1% effective yield, $160 million of trading liquidity, approximately 10% volatility, and $8.4 billion of notional outstanding after the repurchases. Management said it was the most traded preferred in the global capital markets.
- Daily Dividend ApprovalShareholders approved moving preferred equity dividends to daily record and payment dates with 99.3% approval of votes cast. Daily dividends for Stretch begin with a November 1 record date and November 2 payment date, while Strife, Strike, and Stride are scheduled to follow with a January 1 record date and January 4 payment date. Annual dividend amounts remain unchanged.
- Improved USD Reserves and Credit MetricsStrategy increased digital USD assets from $2.5 billion to approximately $5 billion and said USD duration rose nearly seven times from the May lows to approximately three and a half years. USD strength increased from 6% to 40%, measured as USD duration as a percentage of the blended Macaulay duration of preferred and convertible instruments.
- Preferred Repurchase Program and Dividend ContinuityThe company repurchased approximately $2 billion of Stretch and had $957 million of remaining authorization. Management said it had paid 40 dividends over the prior two years and intended to continue paying dividends across all instruments.
- Strong High-Net-Worth and Institutional Ownership GrowthInstitutional ownership of Stretch increased from 21% to 23% and nearly doubled its holdings, while high-net-worth individuals increased their share of the investment base from 24% to 29% and more than doubled their holdings over the prior six months.
- High Trading and Options LiquidityManagement said MSTR ranked second in the S&P 500 by options open interest as a percentage of market capitalization and second by daily traded volume as a percentage of market capitalization. On an absolute basis, it ranked 17th in options open interest and 18th in daily traded volume.
- Balance Sheet Positioned for Additional Digital CreditManagement said Strategy could create $10 billion, $20 billion, or $30 billion of digital credit with its existing capital structure without raising additional equity capital or requiring Bitcoin appreciation. It said the larger, fully unencumbered Bitcoin balance and USD reserves enabled the company to issue perpetual preferred securities.
- Bitcoin Holdings Remained UnencumberedManagement compared the current structure with the prior bull market, stating that the company now has approximately 848,500 Bitcoin, nearly seven times the prior 132,500 Bitcoin balance, with 0% of the current Bitcoin encumbered by debt or preferred securities.

Bitcoin ETFs received approximately $6.3 billion of inflows in Q3, while banking adoption increased from 9% in December 2023 to 24% in December 2025 and 34% currently, according to management's tracking.
- Positive Regulatory and Tokenization DevelopmentsManagement said Treasury, SEC, and CFTC guidance during the quarter was favorable for digital currencies, digital securities, digital derivatives, digital commodities, and digital exchanges. Strategy also said tokenization could enable 24/7/365 trading, global access, programmability, and nearly instantaneous settlement.
- Long-Term Bitcoin and Digital Finance OutlookManagement said it expects Bitcoin to grow from approximately 10 basis points of global capital assets toward 1% and potentially a few percent over time, with the broader Bitcoin industry potentially reaching $100 trillion. Strategy described potential applications including digital equity, credit, debt, currency, money, derivatives, collateral, identity, authentication, and commerce.
- Planned Finance Leadership TransitionPhong Le said he would step back into the CFO and Principal Financial Officer role during 2026.
