Bulls Say, Bears Say
Bulls Say
Conservative Balance SheetThe decline in debt alongside continued equity growth leaves the group less exposed to financing pressure and better able to absorb operating volatility. Low leverage also preserves capacity to invest across subsidiaries or sustain operations through weaker energy-market conditions.
Sustained ProfitabilityNet income remained strong in 2024–2026 after material improvement versus 2022, indicating that the group has built a more profitable operating base. Sustained profitability can support internal funding, resilience, and capital allocation across its energy and service businesses.
Positive Cash GenerationPositive operating and free cash flow, including strong 2025 generation, shows that the business can convert operations into funding for reinvestment and obligations. Although uneven, continued positive FCF provides a useful financial resource when managed across the cycle.
Bears Say
Volatile Revenue TrajectoryRevenue has been broadly stable over several years but volatile year to year, with a sharp 2023 jump followed by declines in 2024 and slightly in 2026. This uneven trajectory makes sustained growth harder to underwrite and can reduce operating leverage.
Margin CompressionMargins appear compressed from 2024 to 2025, with lower gross profit despite similar revenue. If persistent, weaker unit economics could limit earnings growth and reduce the benefit of the group's otherwise solid profitability, particularly during periods of uneven demand.
Uneven Cash ConversionOperating cash flow and FCF stepped down in 2026, while FCF swung materially across years. This variability makes cash conversion less predictable and can complicate investment, distributions, and liquidity planning even though FCF remains positive.
