Bulls Say, Bears Say
Bulls Say
Strong Revenue ExpansionRevenue scale-up indicates strong project wins and execution momentum. Sustained expansion can improve operating leverage, strengthen customer relationships, and support Skipper’s competitive position in metal fabrication and engineering markets.
Improving EarningsHigher net income and strong EPS growth show that business expansion is translating into greater earnings. If execution remains disciplined, improved profitability can support internal funding and strengthen long-term financial resilience.
Expanded Balance Sheet CapacitySignificant growth in assets and shareholders’ equity reflects greater operating scale and investment capacity. A larger capital base can help Skipper pursue larger projects and support continued expansion, provided leverage remains controlled.
Bears Say
Negative Free Cash FlowTwo consecutive years of negative free cash flow indicate weak cash conversion despite stronger operating cash flow. Continued working-capital needs or reinvestment could increase funding dependence and constrain flexibility during project growth.
Rising Debt ExposureHigher debt can support engineering and construction scale-up, but it also raises financial sensitivity if project collections or margins weaken. Increased borrowing may limit flexibility and amplify the effects of uneven cash generation.
Volatile MarginsLower gross profit alongside strong revenue growth suggests cost pressure or an adverse project mix. Persistent margin volatility could reduce the durability of earnings growth and make future profitability more dependent on execution quality.
