ICOA, Inc. operates in the United States, providing neutral-host broadband internet services through both wireless and wired connections. The company offers comprehensive back-office support for operators of hotspots and wireless services. Beyond this, ICOA extends its expertise to network consulting, handling the procurement, configuration, and setup of network hardware. Its service portfolio also includes flexible solutions for managing equipment, administration, billing, business intelligence, and content. A core aspect of ICOA's business is the complete lifecycle management of neutral, common-use 802.11x standard Wi-Fi hotspot and hot zone infrastructure. This involves designing, installing, operating, maintaining, and overseeing these facilities in various locations, including airports, quick-service eateries, universities, travel plazas, marinas, hospitality venues, and municipal or public hot zones. With a significant operational presence, ICOA manages approximately 1,500 broadband access points spanning 45 states. The company also oversees specialized networks: LinkSpot, serving RV parks and campgrounds, and iDockUSA, dedicated to marinas. Established in 1983, the company originally traded as Quintonix, Inc., before officially adopting the name ICOA, Inc. in March 1989. Its corporate headquarters are situated in Warwick, Rhode Island.
