Gimv's investment focus is broad, encompassing sectors such as consumer goods and connected consumer technologies, R&D-intensive businesses positively impacting human health and the environment, automation, health and care, demographic shifts, financial services (including consumer digital lending), telecommunication services, marketing services, interactive home entertainment, smart industries, and sustainable urban development. Within its health and care platform, Gimv prioritizes companies poised for growth via internal expansion or a "buy-and-build" acquisition strategy. More specifically, the consumer vertical covers areas like consumer goods, various food categories (including healthy, prepared, and preserved), personal luxury items, home decor and building, household appliances, specialized housewares, travel and leisure, education, and sectors driven by digitalization and the digital economy. In the health and care arena, it targets life sciences, medical technology (medtech), healthcare services, veterinary pharmaceuticals, generic drugs, vaccines, diagnostic testing, and a range of medical devices and consumables. Its Smart Industries platform includes aerospace, energy transition, business-to-business (B2B) services, advanced engineering, and software solutions. The Sustainable Cities platform delves into infrastructure deployment, energy systems, recycling and recovery, transport and logistics, water purification, e-commerce, alternative energy sources, and energy-efficient infrastructure, as well as consumer-related services within these themes. Additionally, Gimv considers investments in building materials (including chemicals, fertilizers, and agricultural chemicals), mobility solutions, operational services, agricultural services, electronics, and heavy electrical equipment. Geographically, Gimv concentrates its efforts primarily within the DACH region (Austria, Germany, Switzerland), the Benelux countries, France, and the United Kingdom. It also has a presence in Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Russia, Kazakhstan, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia. Its investments target small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), predominantly those headquartered in the Benelux, France, and Germany. Investment amounts typically range from €5 million ($5.67 million) to €150 million ($170.22 million), primarily within its consumer, healthcare, smart industries, and sustainable cities platforms.
