Bulls Say, Bears Say
Bulls Say
Modest, Improving Revenue GrowthRevenue growth across 2023–2025, with 2025 up ~14%, shows improving top-line traction versus prior years. Sustained revenue expansion supports development funding, reduces sole reliance on external capital, and improves the odds of reaching commercial viability over a multi‑quarter horizon.
Sharp Reduction In DebtMaterial decline in reported debt lowers near-term solvency and interest-pressure risk, improving balance-sheet flexibility. This reduction meaningfully eases refinancing needs and creates headroom to prioritize R&D or partnership investments without immediate debt service constraints.
Diversified Small‑molecule Pipeline (masitinib)A single small‑molecule (masitinib) pursued across multiple therapeutic areas increases strategic optionality: multiple indication pathways, licensing or partnership opportunities, and less binary dependency on one market. Diversification in indications supports durable value creation if programs progress.
Bears Say
Persistently Negative Shareholder EquityNegative equity reflects cumulative losses and a weakened capital base, constraining access to traditional financing and increasing reliance on dilutive raises or milestone funding. This structural weakness heightens solvency sensitivity to further operating setbacks over months.
Return To Significant Cash Burn In 2025After a rare positive year, cash burn resumed materially in 2025, signaling recurring funding needs. Persistent negative operating and free cash flow elevates liquidity risk, increasing probability of near‑term financing rounds that could dilute shareholders or constrain R&D pacing.
Deep, Sustained UnprofitabilityChronic, sizable operating and net losses relative to revenue indicate the business remains far from break‑even. Sustained unprofitability undermines internal funding of development programs and makes long‑term viability dependent on successful trial outcomes or ongoing external capital.
