Equatorial Energia S.A., operating through its various subsidiaries, is actively engaged in Brazil's power sector, covering electricity generation, transmission, and distribution. The company also participates in the electricity trading market. It holds significant concessions for electric energy distribution across several states: supplying approximately 2.5 million customers in 217 municipalities within Maranhão State, spanning a concession area of around 332,000 square kilometers; serving an estimated 2.7 million consumers across 144 municipalities in Pará State, which covers a vast 1,248,000 square kilometers; reaching about 1.3 million consumers in 244 municipalities across Piauí State's 251,000 square kilometer area; and providing power to approximately 1.1 million customers in 102 municipalities within Alagoas State, covering 28,000 square kilometers. Established in 1958, the company's main office is located in Brasília, Brazil.
