Q3 2026 Earnings Call Summary

Q3 2026
Earnings Call Date:Oct 22, 2026|
% Change Since:
|
Earnings Call Sentiment|Positive
The call was predominantly positive. Management highlighted strong loan growth in targeted segments, market-share gains, broad revenue growth, resilient insurance and treasury performance, improving efficiency, solid capital ratios, and substantial progress in digital and organizational transformation. The main challenges were higher NPLs and cost-of-credit pressure, a difficult macroeconomic environment, lower NII net of provisions relative to expectations, declines in unsecured SME and selected retail portfolios, and a sluggish DCM market. Management nevertheless described these pressures as concentrated in specific portfolios and maintained positive expectations for the fourth quarter and continued transformation progress.
Company Guidance
Management said it will “continue to grow our NIM,” with “a higher NIM” expected in the fourth quarter, and that market and client NII will be “higher in Q4 2026”; NII net of provisions guidance is “BRL 42 billion-BRL 48 billion in the year,” with performance “within expected” and a “slightly better expectation for Q4.” Treasury is expected to remain recurring, with results “around BRL 3 billion this year” and “similar numbers in the fourth quarter,” while management said “2027 will be a very promising year” and “a very good year.” The FGI and FGO NPL curve may decline “in the second quarter or in the third quarter,” efficiency is “still expecting about 40 points of efficiency” over “the next two to three years,” Prime is expected to end the year with “around 4.6 million” clients, and the macroeconomic environment may improve “more towards the end of 2027 and 2028.”
BRL 10 Billion Capital Increase Completed
Bradesco completed a BRL 10 billion capital increase, which management said leaves the bank solid to continue investing.
Loan Portfolio Reached BRL 1.15 Trillion
The loan portfolio totaled BRL 1 trillion 150 billion, growing 11.1% year-over-year and 1.1% quarter-over-quarter. Management said the bank continues to have traction in segments where it has risk appetite.
Strong Corporate and Secured-Lending Growth
Large corporates grew 14.8% and increased by more than BRL 50 billion during the year. Corporate loans grew 14.1%, while FGI and FGO portfolios grew 31% to 31.5%. Large-corporate loans were also described as growing more than 40% in one portfolio comparison.
Expansion in Selected Retail Portfolios
Private payroll loans grew 102% year-over-year and 13.3% quarter-over-quarter. Vehicle loans grew almost 27%, mortgages and real estate loans for individuals grew 15.2%, and the public payroll portfolio grew 11.1% year-over-year to almost BRL 60 billion.
Market Share Gains
Bradesco gained 1% market share in the national financial system through August. In earmarked loans, the bank cited a 20% share compared with 12.9% for the market.
Lower Delinquency Than the Market in Key Payroll Portfolios
In August, Bradesco's over-90-day NPL was 3.1% for rural individuals versus 6.6% for the market, 5.4% for private payroll loans versus 5.5% for the market, and 1.8% for INSS payroll loans versus 2.2% for the market. Across public and private payroll loans, Bradesco's NPL increased from 2.7% to 2.8%, compared with the market's increase from 2.8% to 3.8%.
Strong Guarantee Coverage
Individuals had 72% of loans secured. When the FGI and FGO portfolio was separated, stage-three coverage was 105%.
Revenue Growth Across Major Lines
Total NII increased 14% year-over-year and 2.4% quarter-over-quarter. Total revenue was described as growing 8.4%, while liabilities grew 4%. Management also said all revenue lines were growing, including assets, liabilities, fees and commissions, and insurance.
NII and NII Net of Provisions Continued to Grow
NII grew 10.1% in the referenced comparison, and NII net of provisions was described as still growing about 5%, with gross margin growth of almost BRL 1 billion.
Resilient Fee and Commission Businesses
Custody and brokerage services, investment banking, card income, the consortium business, and asset-management-related activities were described as showing growth or resilience. Fee income included a nine-month growth figure of 15.6% in one cited comparison, with other cited growth figures of 23.8% and 4.8%.
Insurance Business Delivered Resilient Returns
The insurance group delivered a 22% ROE. Insurance premiums and premium revenue had grown throughout the period, with Bradsaúde described as a major highlight. Technical provisions were almost BRL 480 billion and grew year-over-year.
Treasury and Market NII Performance
Management described treasury as operating on a recurring basis and said market NII was expected to be around BRL 3 billion for the year. Management expected similar market NII numbers in the fourth quarter and cited positive expectations for the next quarter.
Operating Efficiency Improvements
Management said operating expenses showed good year-over-year growth performance despite the collective bargaining agreement. Administrative and transportation expenses were decreasing year-over-year, while processing expenses increased alongside higher activity. The efficiency program was described as structural rather than one-off, supported by footprint optimization, procurement, contract reviews, technology licenses, AI, and processing improvements.
Additional Efficiency Potential
Management said it still expected about 40 points of efficiency over the next two to three years through efficiency and productivity improvements, completion of footprint adjustments, and use of technology at reduced cost.
Solid Capital Ratios
CET1 was 12.1% and the level-one capital ratio was 13.7% following the capital increase.
Gen AI and Technology Productivity Gains
The Bridge technology initiative increased from 500 cases to more than 1,000. Technology delivery capacity, cited at 300 in 2023, was said to have grown three times and was expected to grow fourfold without increasing personnel.
Expansion of Digital Customer Service
Bradesco had more than 45 million clients on digital wholesale and more than 15 million interactions with BIA. BIA answered questions in 90% of cases, with only 10% to 12% of contacts transferred to a human agent.
Progress in Principal and Prime Segments
Principal had 93 offices and more than 500,000 clients in September, with additional offices expected by December. Prime had 4.5 million clients at quarter-end and was expected to reach around 4.6 million by year-end; another presentation reference cited 4.7 million clients by the end of December.
Transformation and Customer Engagement Progress
Management said the bank continued to grow its client base, open increasingly profitable checking accounts, improve customer engagement, and migrate branch-based processes to digital service. The final migration of Prime clients was expected to be completed in December.
Investment Banking and Wholesale Origination Progress
Investment banking, Global, and Ágora were described as posting relevant growth. Bradesco said it was originating more across corporate segments, operating with a lower percentage of firm offerings than peers in 2026, and developing origination for middle-market companies.
Positive View on Lower Interest Rates
Management said lower interest rates would be positive for the organization and the broader Brazilian economy, helping clients pay more easily, reducing company costs, and freeing capital for investment.
Vehicle-Lending Competitiveness
Management described vehicle-loan rollovers as performing very well, supported by a defined credit policy, customer and dealer experience improvements, and stronger competitiveness.
Wholesale LLP Stable
Management said wholesale loan-loss provisions remained flat and stable and that Bradesco was participating in fewer court reorganizations than the market.
