Q3 2026 Earnings Call Summary

Q3 2026
Earnings Call Date:Oct 22, 2026|% Change Since:-32.96%|
Earnings Call Sentiment|Positive

The call was broadly positive, characterized by double-digit loan and revenue growth, strong expansion in targeted secured and corporate portfolios, capital-strength improvement, resilient insurance and treasury contributions, and continued progress in digital transformation and efficiency. The main challenges were portfolio-mix pressure on NIM, higher credit costs and NPLs in specific portfolios, macroeconomic pressure, selected fee-income stagnation, and DCM market weakness. Management remained confident about fourth-quarter growth and the longer-term transformation plan.

Company Guidance

Management said it will continue to grow NIM and that “in the fourth quarter, we'll see a higher NIM as well”; it expects “a higher” market in client NII in Q4 2026, while NII net of provisions has guidance of “BRL 42 billion-BRL 48 billion in the year,” is “in the lower range,” and has “a slightly better expectation for Q4 as regards our guidance.” Treasury is expected to be “around BRL 3 billion this year,” with “similar numbers in the fourth quarter,” and management said it is “still expecting about 40 points of efficiency” over “the next two to three years.” For FGI and FGO, management said the curve will “probably” decline “in the second quarter or in the third quarter,” while it will continue to grow its loan portfolio where it has risk appetite and “will continue to grow liability, we will grow fee and commissions.”

  • BRL 10 Billion Capital Increase CompletedBradesco completed a capital increase of BRL 10 billion. Management said CET1 was 12.1% and Level 1 capital was 13.7%, providing a solid capital position to continue investing.
  • Loan Portfolio Reached BRL 1.15 TrillionThe loan portfolio totaled BRL 1.15 trillion, growing 11.1% year-over-year and 1.1% quarter-over-quarter. Management said growth continued in segments where the bank has risk appetite.
  • Strong Corporate and Secured-Lending GrowthLegal-entity lending grew 14.1% overall, while large corporates grew 14.8% and increased by more than BRL 50 billion during the year. FGI and FGO-backed lending grew 31% to 31.5%, and large-corporate lending grew more than 40% in the cited comparison.
  • Retail Growth in Targeted PortfoliosPrivate payroll loans grew 102% year-over-year and 13.3% quarter-over-quarter. Vehicle lending grew almost 27%, mortgages and real estate lending grew 15.2%, and public payroll loans grew 11.1% year-over-year to nearly BRL 60 billion.
  • Market Share Gains and Lower Relative DelinquencyBradesco gained 1% market share in the national financial system through August. Management said Bradesco's delinquency levels were below the market in several payroll categories, including total payroll loans at 2.8% versus 3.8% for the market and private payroll loans at 5.4% versus 10.6%.
  • Secured Portfolio Coverage Remained StrongIndividuals had 72% of loans secured. When the FGI and FGO portfolio was separated, Stage 3 coverage was 105%, and management said the expected loss was lower than for clean personal loans because of the guarantees.
  • Revenue Growth Across Core BusinessesTotal net interest income grew 14% year-over-year and 2.4% quarter-over-quarter. Management said revenue was growing across assets, liabilities, fees and commissions, and insurance, with total revenue growth cited at 8.4%.
  • Fee, Investment Banking, and Asset-Management MomentumCustody and brokerage services, investment banking, and related fee lines posted growth, including a 15.6% nine-month percentage cited for one fee category. The bank also gained market share in assets under management, while its consortium business was described as resilient.
  • Resilient Insurance BusinessThe insurance group delivered a 22% ROE. Insurance premiums and premium revenues continued to grow, with internal bank-channel distribution and Bradsaúde identified as highlights. Technical provisions were nearly BRL 480 billion and were growing year-over-year.
  • Recurring Treasury and Market NII ContributionManagement described treasury operations as recurring and robust, supported by the client desk, energy desk, wholesale activities, and other market businesses. Market NII was expected to be around BRL 3 billion for the year, with management expecting similar numbers in the fourth quarter.
  • Structural Efficiency ImprovementsManagement said efficiency improvements were structural rather than driven by one-off events. Drivers included footprint adjustments, procurement, renegotiation of major contracts, technology licenses, AI agents, and improved processing capabilities. The bank expects about 40 points of additional efficiency over the next two to three years.
  • Technology and Gen AI Productivity GainsThe Bridge technology tool grew from about 500 cases in the prior quarter to more than 1,000. Technology delivery capacity increased from 300 in 2023 to three times that level, with management saying it is expected to reach four times the 2023 level without increasing personnel.
  • Digital Transformation Reached 45 Million ClientsMore than 45 million clients had been migrated to digital wholesale, with more than 15 million interactions through BIA. BIA answered questions in 90% of cases, while 10% to 12% of contacts were transferred to human agents.
  • Progress in Principal and Prime SegmentsPrincipal reached 93 offices and more than 500,000 clients in September, with further expansion planned by December. Prime had approximately 4.5 million clients at quarter-end and was expected to reach around 4.6 million by year-end; management also cited 4.7 million clients by the end of December in its transformation update.
  • Positive Fourth-Quarter and Longer-Term OutlookManagement expected higher NIM and higher client NII in the fourth quarter. It also said lower interest rates would be positive for the organization and the broader Brazilian economy, while describing 2027 as potentially a promising year.
