Bulls Say, Bears Say
Bulls Say
Balance-sheet CushionA positive equity base (~$41.1M) and ~$74.4M in assets provide a tangible financial buffer that can absorb near-term losses and support operations or restructuring. This cushion increases solvency runway and creditor confidence over the next several months if losses moderate.
Gold-industry ExposureOperating in the gold sector offers structural demand as a store of value and hedge during macro uncertainty. That industry positioning can provide long-term optionality for resource upside, easier access to project financing, and enduring investor interest relative to cyclical sectors.
Improving FCF Growth TrendAlthough free cash flow remains negative, the improvement in FCF growth rate in the trailing twelve months signals progress on cash conversion. A sustained improvement trajectory would reduce refinancing needs and materially improve sustainability over a 2–6 month horizon.
Bears Say
Near-zero Revenue And Widening LossesThe company shows minimal current revenue with a TTM net loss around -$32M. Persistent lack of operating revenue undermines scalability and forces reliance on financing or asset sales, making the business model unsustainable without a durable revenue recovery.
Material Cash BurnConsistently negative operating and free cash flows reflect heavy cash burn that increases funding and refinancing risk. Ongoing negative cash generation limits strategic flexibility and raises the probability management must dilute equity or add debt to sustain operations.
Rising Leverage And Negative ReturnsLeverage increased meaningfully to roughly $16.5M from near-zero, while returns on equity are deeply negative. Higher debt magnifies refinancing and interest risk and, combined with negative ROE, signals ongoing capital erosion and reduced financial flexibility.
