Bulls Say, Bears Say
Bulls Say
Exploration-stage Monetisation ModelHorseshoe’s exploration-stage model focuses on creating value through drilling, resource definition and technical studies, then monetising via sales, farm‑downs, JV earn‑ins, or eventual development. That structural optionality lets the company crystallise value without needing immediate commercial production, supporting multiple durable exit or partner pathways over 2–6 months and beyond.
2025 Revenue ReboundA sharp top‑line rebound in 2025, while small in absolute terms, signals tangible project advancement that generated measurable revenue. Progress that produces revenue milestones improves credibility with potential partners and funders, increasing chances of securing JV/farm‑out deals or other funding that can support sustained exploration and project development.
Growing Asset BaseTotal assets increased year‑over‑year to 10.12m in 2025, reflecting accumulated exploration assets and investments. A growing asset base provides a tangible foundation for negotiating joint ventures, farm‑outs, or asset sales, improving leverage in partner discussions and underpinning longer‑term value creation beyond short‑term market moves.
Bears Say
Negative Shareholders' EquityNegative shareholders’ equity is a persistent structural weakness (‑1.36m in 2025) that reduces solvency headroom and limits access to non‑dilutive capital. Over the medium term this increases reliance on equity raises or dilutive financings, constraining strategic flexibility and elevating refinancing and insolvency risk if losses persist.
Persistent Cash BurnConsistent negative operating and free cash flows (operating cash flow -546k; FCF -1.13m in 2025) indicate the company cannot self‑fund exploration programs. This ongoing cash burn creates durable funding dependence, which can delay projects, force asset sales or dilutive raises, and raise execution risk across the next several quarters.
Sustained Operating LossesThe company reports persistent negative gross profit and substantial operating and net losses, exemplified by 2025 EBIT -1.49m and net loss -1.68m. This ongoing unprofitability shows revenues have not translated into sustainable margins, undermining the prospect of self‑funding and increasing the need for external capital and continued operational restructuring.
