Bulls Say, Bears Say

Bulls Say
2026 Cash-Flow ReboundThe sharp 2026 recovery in operating and free cash flow strengthens near-term liquidity and provides greater capacity to fund operations internally. If maintained, this could reduce reliance on external financing and improve financial resilience, although prior volatility means the improvement must persist.
DeleveragingLower debt and a materially reduced debt-to-equity ratio improve the company’s financial flexibility and reduce balance-sheet pressure. Deleveraging can leave more cash available for property investment and operations, while also lowering exposure to financing stress if business conditions weaken.
Revenue Rebound And Continued ProfitabilityThe substantial 2026 revenue rebound demonstrates that the business can generate materially higher activity than in the prior year. Continued net profitability across the reported period provides a base of earnings support, even though the quality and consistency of those earnings remain uneven.
Bears Say
Severe Margin CompressionThe collapse in gross margin and move to negative operating profit indicate that higher revenue is not currently translating into stronger operating earnings. Persistently weak margins would limit reinvestment capacity, reduce the benefit of scale, and make future profitability more sensitive to changes in project economics.
Volatile Cash GenerationAlthough the latest cash-flow result is strong, the preceding multi-year pattern of negative operating and free cash flow makes the improvement difficult to treat as a stable run-rate. Continued volatility could complicate planning, weaken funding visibility, and increase reliance on asset sales or financing in weaker periods.
Residual Leverage And Low ReturnsDeleveraging has reduced risk but has not removed the burden of meaningful leverage relative to equity. Low and modestly improving returns on equity also indicate limited efficiency in converting shareholder capital into profits, which can constrain sustainable value creation and capital allocation flexibility.
