Rapid AMVUTTRA And TTR GrowthAMVUTTRA’s rapid commercial adoption and expanding TTR franchise demonstrate strong product-market fit in a specialized disease area. Sustained patient starts, prescriber additions, and high adherence can support durable revenue growth and reinforce Alnylam’s leadership in RNAi therapeutics.
Strong Profitability And Cash GenerationThe shift to meaningful profitability is supported by substantial operating and free cash flow, indicating that reported earnings are converting into internal funding. This improves Alnylam’s ability to finance clinical programs, commercial expansion, and partnerships without relying solely on external capital.
Broad Pipeline And Strategic ExpansionA broad clinical pipeline and geographic commercialization strategy create multiple avenues for future growth beyond current products. Continued Phase II and Phase III progress, combined with partner-enabled market access, can diversify revenue and extend the value of Alnylam’s RNAi platform.
Bears Say
Lowered TTR Revenue GuidanceThe guidance reduction shows that initial launch dynamics were stronger than the sustainable demand trajectory, creating a higher execution hurdle for the TTR franchise. Even with projected growth, normalization of switch activity could make future revenue expansion less predictable than recent results suggest.
Royalty-driven Margin PressureHigher royalty rates transfer more economics to partners as AMVUTTRA sales grow, limiting the company’s ability to convert commercial momentum into incremental gross profit. If royalty intensity remains elevated, margin expansion may lag revenue growth and constrain operating leverage over coming quarters.
Rising Development And Launch CostsRapidly increasing R&D and SG&A spending reflects substantial investment in Phase III trials and commercial launches, but it also raises the break-even level for the business. Costs could pressure operating leverage if pipeline progress or new-product adoption does not scale quickly enough.

DUL Earnings Call
Q2 2026
0:00 / 0:00
Earnings Call Sentiment|Positive
The call conveyed strong commercial momentum — highlighted by record quarterly AMVUTTRA and broad TTR revenue growth, expanding prescriber base, robust cash and operating income, strategic geographic and AI partnerships, and an active pipeline with upcoming data readouts. Negative elements included a $200M downward revision to 2026 TTR guidance tied to normalization of early switch demand, a Q2 decline in collaboration revenue, margin pressure from higher royalties, increased R&D/SG&A investment, and industry uncertainty following a competitor trial failure (CARDIO-TTRansform). Management framed the guidance reduction as a learning from early launch dynamics and emphasized confidence in long-term TTR leadership and nucresiran’s prospects, indicating highlights outweigh challenges.View all CH:DUL earnings summariesDUL Revenue Breakdown
