Senate Finance Committee Chair Ron Wyden asked major automakers, including Tesla (TSLA), General Motors (GM) and Ford (F) to provide details about their Chinese supply chains, CNBC’s Lauren Feiner reports. Wyden, who sent letters to eight automakers, said he wants to assess the "effectiveness of trade-based efforts by the United States to combat forced labor and other serious human rights abuses in China."
