Warner Discovery (WBD) CEO David Zaslav is fighting to stop the company from being taken over by Paramount (PSKY), Joe Flint of The Wall Street Journal reports. Warner Discovery recently broke its silence on the potential transaction stating it has received several inquiries, opening the door for would-be suitors. Zaslav told associates he would rather the company continue with its plan to split into two, with its TV, movie studios, and HBO Max streaming business under one company led by Zaslav while its cable networks would be run by CFO Gunnar Wiedenfels.
