To further cut manual tasks at the company, Walmart (WMT) is planning to use sensors to track the location and status of 90mn pallets of groceries it ships to stores, Gregory Meyer of The Financial Times reports. The company plans to attach sensors to the pallets of its entire U.S. chain by the end of 2026, Walmart and technology vendor Wiliot said. The move will reduce routine work at the company.
