Many longstanding General Motors (GM) workers have been voting against the tentative contract with the UAW, which they feel insufficiently improves retirement benefits, The New York Times’ Neal E. Boudette reports. A majority of workers at several large plants in Michigan, Indiana and Tennessee rejected the contract, though union members at a large sport utility plant in Arlington, Texas, voted in favor of it, Boudette writes, adding that the agreement appears to be headed for ratification at Ford (F) and Stellantis (STLA).
