US government agencies hit in global hack attack, CNN reports

A number of U.S. agencies are receiving assistance from the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency after falling victims of intrusions “affecting their MOVEit applications,” Eric Goldstein, the agency’s executive assistant director for cybersecurity, said in a statement on Thursday to CNN, the publication reported. “We are working urgently to understand impacts and ensure timely remediation,” said Goldstein, according to CNN. Companies in the cybersecurity space include: Palo Alto Networks (PANW), Fortinet (FTNT), Crowdstrike (CRWD), Zscaler (ZS), VMware (VMW) Okta (OKTA) and CyberArk (CYBR).
