The New York City Mayor’s Office reached a deal with Uber Technologies (UBER) and Lyft (LYFT) to rein in lockouts and stop onboarding new drivers, Evan Gorelick and Natalie Lung of Bloomberg report. In exchange, the city’s taxi regulator agreed not to impose new rules on the rideshare companies, the journalists note. The New York Taxi and Limousine Commission confirmed the arrangement in a statement shared with Bloomberg News.
