U.S. Department of Transportation to examine Southwest cancellations

In a Twitter post on Monday evening, the U.S. Department of Transportation announced: "USDOT is concerned by Southwest’s unacceptable rate of cancellations and delays & reports of lack of prompt customer service. The Department will examine whether cancellations were controllable and if Southwest is complying with its customer service plan." Shares of Southwest are down 3.6% in pre-market trading at $34.79.
