The Competition Appeal Tribunal in London ruled against Apple (AAPL) in a trial of a lawsuit accusing the tech giant of abusing its dominant position by charging app developers an unfair 30% commission through the App Store, Reuters’ Sam Tobin reports. The tribunal determined that the company had abused its position and sided with roughly 20M iPhone and iPad users in the U.K., the author notes.
