Turkish Airlines ‘not rushing’ to acquire more Boeing planes, FT reports

Turkish Airlines is “not in a rush” to buy more Boeing (BA) planes as “problems” at the company have held up negotiations over a major jet order, The Financial Times’ Adam Samson and Sylvia Pfeifer report, citing comments made by Turkish Airlines chair Ahmet Bolat. Turkish Airlines remains in talks with Boeing over a potential order for 150 narrow-body and 75 wide-body aircraft but is also considering purchasing more planes from Airbus (EADSY), according to the report, which adds that the carrier last year announced a deal to buy more than 200 Airbus aircraft worth tens of billions of dollars.
