Citi analyst Arifumi Yoshida upgraded Toyota Motor to Buy from Neutral with a price target of 2,800 yen, up from 2,100 yen. The analyst also opened an “upside Catalyst Watch” on the shares and added Toyota to Citi’s Pan-Asia Focus List. The firm likes the way Toyota is growing market share via its “competitiveness” in electric vehicles and the way it has “turned more proactive on future tech disclosure.” It is also optimistic that the company’s Q1 results will come in ahead of market expectations.
