Tesla workforce at Gigafactory Texas more than tripled in 2022, Bloomberg says

According to the annual compliance report Tesla filed with Travis County’s Economic Development Program, the company’s staff count at the Gigafactory in Texas more than tripled in 2022, Bloomberg’s Dana Hull reports. Tesla reported a workforce of 12,277 in the Austin area at the end of 2022, up from just 3,523 in 2021, and the company also plans to add employees in Texas as it builds out a cathode factory in Austin and its lithium refinery in Corpus Christi, the report states.
