China-based tech firm Tencent’s U.S. game studio Team Kaiju, once a key part of its Western expansion plans, has been shut down, Josh Ye wrote for Reuters. The Shenzhen-based Tencent has reassigned the Team Kaiju,staff to work on another game under Tencent, Reuters added. “Team Kaiju worked on a big-budget multiplayer game under the leadership of experienced game designer Scott Warner before it was shut,” noted the Reuters’ story.
