In a letter to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit in New York, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission said Tesla CEO Elon Musk still needs to get pre-approval from lawyers prior to tweeting Tesla-related information. Earlier this week, Musk’s lawyers contended a recent jury verdict in a private securities-fraud action should be considered in the appeal of the SEC settlement provision, however the agency said the verdict doesn’t qualify as a "pertinent and significant" authority and Musk "waived his opportunity to test the Commission’s allegations at trial when he voluntarily agreed (twice) to a consent judgement."
