Samsung (SSNLF) is considering revising its schedule and plans for its wafer foundry projects currently under construction as it falls increasingly behind TSMC (TSM), DigiTimes’ Amy Fan and Jack Wu report. The Pyeongtaek 4th factory in South Korea may cancel its planned foundry production line, while equipment investment for the Taylor foundry in the U.S. could be postponed by about one more quarter, according to the report.
