Despite appeals from Bombardier (BDRBF), Ottawa is expected to award a sole-source contract for new military surveillance aircraft to Boeing (BA), Globe & Mail’s Nicolas Van Praet and Robert Fife report. The government is expected to make the announcement Thursday on the contract, which is estimated to be worth $6B-$10B, according to a senior government official.
