Microsoft (MSFT)-backed OpenAI is meeting with Hollywood studios, media executives, and others to form partnerships to encourage filmmakers to integrate Sora, its new AI video generation tool, into their work, Bloomberg’s Thomas Buckley, Lucas Shaw, and Shirin Ghaffary report. The upcoming meetings are just the latest round of outreach from OpenAI in recent weeks, said people familiar with the matter, as OpenAI scheduled introductory conversations in Hollywood in late February. Meta (META) and Google (GOOGL) previously unveiled text-to-video research projects, the report notes.
