Nordstrom tapped bankers to consider potential go-private bid, WSJ reports

Erik Nordstrom and Pete Nordstrom, the CEO and president, respectively, of Nordstrom (JWN) recently told the board they are interested in exploring a deal for the company and Nordstrom formed a special committee of independent directors to evaluate their potential proposal, people familiar with the matter told The Wall Street Journal’s Lauren Thomas. The department store board’s special committee is working with bankers from Morgan Stanley (MS) and Centerview Partners to evaluate a potential proposal from the founding family, along with those of any other suitors, the people said.
