Nissan CEO Makoto Uchida said the company has no reverse gear or ability to go back on its shift to electric vehicles, despite the U.K. government taking a step back on one of its flagship policies, The Economic Times reports. “More than a million customers have already joined our journey… There is no turning back now,” CEO Uchida said. This comes days after U.K. prime minister postponed a proposed ban on new petrol and diesel cars by five years, from 2030 to 2035. Nissan still intends to “make the switch to full electric by 2030 in Europe,” Uchida said.
