Meta is acquiring chips startup Rivos as part of an effort to bolster its internal semiconductor development and to also control more of its AI infrastructure, Kurt Wagner and Riley Griffin of Bloomberg reports, citing a personal familiar with the deal. Terms of the deal are not known, but Rivos was seeking new funding at a $2B valuation back in August.
