Apple (AAPL), Dell (DELL), HP (HP), Samsung (SSNLF), and Lenovo (LNVGY) are among the 110 companies India has authorized to import laptops, tablets, and personal computers, Shivangi Acharya of Reuters reports, citing two government sources. Acer, Xiaomi (XIACF), IBM (IBM), and ASUS have also been given import authorizations under India’s new “import management system,” two sources added. Companies must register the quantity and value of its imports, with an authorization valid until September 2024.
