Google (GOOG) Glass’s next iteration, Project Iris has been cancelled amid the departure from Google’s AR division of project lead Clay Bavor, wrote Nicholas Sutrich for Android Central, citing Business Insider. “Google is said to have moved on to building a software AR platform for companies like Samsung (SSNLF) instead of developing its own hardware,” added the story.
