Evercore ISI lowered the firm’s price target on Global Payments to $180 from $185 and keeps an Outperform rating on the shares. Q4 results and calendar year 2024 guidance, both of fell “just shy” of the firm’s and consensus expectations, but the slightly below-consensus 2024 operating income guidance stems from “very conservative macroeconomic and consumer spending assumptions,” the analyst argues. This should serve investors well if macro proves to be a little better and “the table seems set for earnings outperformance,” the analyst added.
