Exxon Mobil CEO Darren Woods intends to attend the COP28 climate summit in Dubai next week, in what would be a first for a top executive at the company, Reuters’ Sabrina Valle and Sarah McFarlane report, citing two people close to the information. Woods, currently not in the summit program, is anticipated to advocate for more oil output with less carbon emissions, the authors note.
