Apple (AAPL) and Google (GOOGL) are set to face probes by the EU’s Digital Markets Act, Bloomberg Law’s Samuel Stolton reports. According to people familiar with the matter, the EU could announce investigations into the companies’ compliance with the DMA in the coming days, with investigations into Apple and Google’s new fees, terms and conditions for app store developers coming under focus. The people believe a proposal from Meta (META) to leverage a monthly fee on users for accessing Facebook and Instagram could also garner future EU scrutiny.
