Oppenheimer analyst Rupesh Parikh raised the firm’s price target on Dollar General to $285 from $275 and keeps an Outperform rating on the shares ahead of quarterly results. The analyst expects another strong top-line delivery, but sees less EPS upside potential on the print. Recent data points suggest a very strong grocery backdrop, Parikh adds. He would also expect Dollar General’s value positioning to continue resonating in the current environment. Although the analyst looks favorably upon the underlying momentum of the business, he also notes that hares have historically struggled on prints.
