Danone plans to sell its rebranded Russian business Life & Nutrition to Vamin Tatarstan, a Russian dairy company owned by Mintimer Mingazov, a nephew of Chechen strongman Ramzan Kadyrov, The Financial Times’ Courtney Weaver and Adrienne Klasa report, citing documents and people familiar with the situation. The move comes seven months after Vladimir Putin ordered seizure of French food group’s local operations.
